“ The best vegan bakery weve been during our trip. We had the Joe cool, the Yes chef and the cinnamon roll. Everything was extremely tasty. Very chilled atmosphere and place. Not a lot of parking spaces in case you are driving. We went there for take away but ended up dining in, because we found some free parking outside. Would definitely revisit. ”

“ My wife and I loooove Just What I Kneaded the pop tarts are insane the crunch wraps are a MUST! and Justines Wine Bar all around one of our favorite date spots, but Im writing this review specifically to rave about the amazing and most perfect wedding cake that Kneady Cakes Just What I Kneaded created for our wedding day! Our cake was vegan and gluten free we wanted gluten free since my mother is celiac she was very grateful for a GF cake and she loved it!. The cake was moist and delicious! We were all very impressed with the gluten free option There honestly was no difference in the gluten free and the regular cake. And it felt lighter to eat! We opted for a lemon cake with lemon custard and raspberry jam on the bottom layer and chocolate with raspberry jam filling on the top layer. It was insanely delicious and beautifully decorated with frosting succulents to match the desert theme of our wedding. The Kneady Cakes team packaged it carefully and it was sturdy easy to transport in an insulated box all the way to Joshua Tree. We had a wonderful time with our cake tasting, which consisted of trying cake samples via 6 different flavors of cupcakes accompanied with jars of jam and custards. It was difficult to choose, but were so happy with our decision! The lower layer of our cake was 8 and the top was 6. We were able to cut about 3040 slices, easy. For a 15 person wedding, it was a perfect amount for everyone to enjoy a few slices we had extra to freeze for our anniversary. Everyone LOVED the cake they are still raving about it! and it was a highlight of the postceremony celebration! We are SO happy to have purchased our cake from Kneady Cakes. We cant recommend getting a wedding cakes from Kneady Cakes enough! Worth every penny. Well be back for birthday cakes in the near future. We are lucky to have such a fantastic bakery and such an amazing team of bakers in east LA! ”

They also have gluten free options so its very easy to find stuff youre looking for if you have dietary restrictions or just want to try something else. Seating is a huge plus outdoors. “ Absolutely perfect in every way. Came here cause I needed to be in Silverlake for work and I had this placed saved in my want to go. I was a little worried driving up but this place is absolutely adorable, and seemingly a neighborhood fave. The outdoor seating is great and theyre very dog friendly. I got the biscuit sandwich and its amazing what they can do with vegan ingredients. I was tempted to get any of the delectable looking pastries but had to hold till the next time I visit. ”

“ Delicious food, courteous and fun service. This place seems to be a hidden gem. Never wouldve known it was there. Kind of hidden away but lots of people know about it as its quite busy. There was a line to order but moved fairly quickly. The staff was pleasant, made some jokes as I was ordering, and were very courteous. Food was served in a timely manner. I ordered the Crunch Wrap and a hot Vanilla Latte. My friend ordered the Chocolate Chip Cookie. Everything was delicious. The Crunch Wrap was very flavorful and tasty. Definitely recommend it. And Ill certainly return again. Parking is a bit difficult in the area as its pretty much in the middle of a residential area and few small businneses. I happened to find decent parking on the corner as we were having an early meal around 10am but by the time we were leaving around 2pm folks were having a hard time finding parking and could hardly wait for me to move. But the eatery itself was great. ”

We decided this would be our last stop on our way back home and now Im so sad that I wont be able to look at my local vegan breakfast burrito the same way. I ate the entire thing even though I breached full halfway through I just couldnt fathom wasting it! I absolutely got a cinnamon roll to go. Im not passing up that opportunity either! The staff and atmosphere were 1010! Such incredible personalities that fit with the vibe. I felt right at home with the staff and the patrons of the restaurant. “ This place is amazing! Their chocolate chip cookie is truly perfect. Its my dream chocolate chip cookie with crispy edges, soft interior, and flaky salt. Foodwise, I love the Yes Chef biscuit breakfast sandwich, its so indulgent and delicious with Impossible sausage, cheese, Just Egg or tofu scramble, and chipotle mayo on an herb biscuit. I also adore the cinnamon rolls. The patio is lovely and I love sitting out there. ”

Parking in Frogtown always is a challenge but the breakfast is worth the hassle.
